Respect Creators
I have this online friend who has the ever enviable ability to attract nutcases online and off online.
However, I'm about to talk about one of her recent experiences with a rather annoying person. You see she is fairly well-known fan fiction writer in a certain fandom and she wants to break out into professional publishing.
She's an awesome and dedicated writer who totally deserves to be published, she has already gain a decent fan circle, from her fanfiction.
But sadly not all of her fans our respectful. One fan who we have nick-named baby-beggar has been harassing her on Facebook for her couple,in her to-be-published book, to have a baby and while she has tried to explain that she feels that the it does not fit the story, the fan will hear none of that.
Baby-beggar has brought this up multiple times despite the author telling her no, and she has gotten really childish about it.
Now she has been demanding that the author sell her a digital copy, through e-mail, even though the book has not yet been picked up by an publisher.
ANYONE WITH SENSE CAN SEE THE PROBLEM WITH THAT!
The sheer lack of respect disgusts me. When the author refused this ,rather too politely , she asked if the author was an only child and when the author asked why she did this the baby-beggar replied
"You're acting like one because you won't share"
